Corona continues to impress, siring slick-haired, thick-muscled progeny with good feet and legs.
The first five bull calves by Corona, in the 2004 SydGen offering, averaged $5,431, including the $10,250 second top-selling bull calf to Dikoff Ranch in Aberdeen, SD. The only heifer from that calf crop produced the $39,000 top-selling bull in the 2006 SydGen Sale as her first natural calf, and a direct son of Corona was the top-selling fall bull at $17,500.
The $11,000 dam of Corona has compiled an outstanding progeny record in the SydGen program with four calves recording an average birth ratio of 99 and an average weaning ratio of 105 while four yearlings have an average ratio of 100, an average IMF ratio of 108, and an average UREA ratio of 103.
